"Chiare, fresche et dolci acque" incipit carmen CXXVI in serie Rerum vulgarium fragmenta, quam Franciscus Petrarcha composuit. Hoc carmen memoriam Laurae praesentis apud Petrarchae locum in Valle Clausa canit. Laura et natura eandem pulchritudinem monstrant; poeta sperat fore ut hoc loco ipse sepeliatur et Laura lacrimis suis pietatem e Deo obtineat.


Carmen extat de quinque strophis, ex versibus undecim aut septem syllabis compositis. In singulis strophis poeta diversos sensus animi exprimit, qui ex contemplatione loci oriuntur: locus amoenus, ubi Lauram poeta vidit, et ubi sperat se sepultum iri. Tempus carminis est ideo praesens (poeta solus visit Sorgae fontem), praeteritum (poeta meminit Laurae)) et futurum (poeta sperat fore ut hic Laura se frustra quaerat et super sepulchrum suum lacrimas fundat).
