I am trying to reproduce the following picture using tikz :

continuation pseudo arclength

I did this one using Inkscape but I am not satisfied of the overall result, especially with the part of the plan P (see the black square).

Moreover, the main concern is that I did not manage with Inkscape to create a similar picture but with the only difference that instead of the black plan P there will be a part of the surface of a sphere.

The sphere would be of centre H(Yi) and radius ||H(Yi) , H(Yi+1_0)|| on which will lie all the points from k=0 (green point) to k (blue point) (=> corresponding to an arc of a circle in the plan designated by the axis system in the upper left corner).

Any propositions using tikz to reproduce this picture and add the sphere specifications would be greatly appreciated. Do not hesitate to ask me questions if I am not clear enough. Thank you.
