Iacobus, vulgo James Macpherson (natus in Ruthven Invernessensis die 17 Octobris 1736; mortuus in villa sua Belville eiusdem praefecturae die 17 Februarii 1796) fuit politicorum peritus et scriptor Scoticus, interpres Homericus et creator sive recreator vatis Scotici Ossiani. Ab anno 1780 ad Parlamentum Britannicum pro circulo Camelford legatus est.
