Laurus novocanariensis (binomen anno 2002 a Salvatore Rivas Martínez collegisque statutum) est species generis Lauri, Lauraceis attributi. Laurus novocanariensis, L. nobili haud dissimilis et olim in eadem specie aut in Lauro canariensi Webb & Berthel., non Willd. inclusa, est arbustum foliis aromaticis, artibus coquorum et medicorum utilibus, munitum. Species naturá in insulis Madeira et Canariensibus crescit et in oris had longe distantibus Maroci. In eis regionibus olim "laurisilvae" (ita a palaeontologis nuncupatae) late florebantur, lauris virentes, et hodie usque partim servantur.
