Sancta Ioanna Franciae, nata Novigenti Regis die 23 Aprilis 1464 et mortua in Avarico die 4 Februarii 1505, fuit regina Franciae ut uxor Ludovici XII cui anno 1476 nupsit. Filia regis Ludovici XI et reginae Carlotae Sabaudiae erat.


Matrimonium ob consanguinitatem nullum fuisse anno 1498 statutum est sed vera divortii causa fuit quod rex, quem Ludovicus XI, eius stirpem exstincturam esse sperans, filiam suam ad partum haud aptam in matrimonium ducere coegerat, infecundo coniugio liberari volebat.


In monasterio Avarici quod condiderat sepulta est.


Beatificata est anno 1743 et canonizata anno 1950.
